Certainly! Shorter itineraries offer a great impression of the Galapagos for those with limited time or budget, but you’ll miss some highlights. For a fuller experience, consider extending your trip with combined itineraries available on our yachts. Longer cruises allow you to see more diverse wildlife, such as albatrosses on Española, land iguanas on South Plaza, red-footed boobies on Genovesa, and penguins in the western archipelago. A Galapagos visit is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and every island is unique and worth seeing.

We can assist with organizing hotel bookings, hotel-based packages, and day tours, including diving. This allows you to experience the Galapagos both by boat for remote islands and through land-based tours for the inhabited areas.

enjoy and endure the cruise. We recommend waiting until children are old enough to appreciate the uniqueness of the Galapagos Islands. While there are no special children's programs, kids will enjoy being close to animals and activities like swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking.

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for their children, who may not be able to participate in longer or more difficult activities. We offer special discounts for children under 12 (20% off for one child per two parents) and reduced entrance fees to the Galapagos National Park

We highly recommend that passengers be in reasonably good physical condition. While our programs are busy, you can skip more demanding activities and rest on board.

Elderly or disabled passengers may face challenges, such as long or difficult trails with sharp lava rocks or light scrambling, especially in remote areas like the western Galapagos, Española, Genovesa, and Tintoreras. Embarking and disembarking the inflatable boat can also be tricky, especially with rough tides, but our crew is always ready to help.

Additionally, please check if the yacht's steps are suitable for you.

To ensure the best experience, we advise booking your Galapagos trip at least 6 months before your planned departure date. For peak seasons like Easter, Christmas, New Year, and May-July, it's recommended to book a year in advance, especially if you have specific preferences.

Booking early gives you more options, preferences, and guarantees, though not everything can be guaranteed. This increases the likelihood of following your desired route, visiting preferred islands, and encountering specific wildlife. It also improves the chances of securing your preferred yacht and cabin type, including special requests like specific cabins or decks, especially for charters.

How far in advance should I book? - Inquire Here

The Galapagos have become a popular destination with many visitors. We recommend you to book your trip at least 6 months prior to your planned date of departure, and even a year ahead for holiday seasons (Easter, Christmas and New Year, and May-July); particularly when you have special wishes.

Simply put: you have more options, more preferences and guarantees, although not everything can be guaranteed. (For more information see: What can never be guaranteed if you book a Galapagos expedition boat?)

  • You stand a better chance that the yacht of your choice will be available on your preferred dates (especially for charters).
  • You stand a better chance that your favorite cabin on the yacht (such as a single or matrimonial, or on a preferred deck) will be available, and also that special requests, such as a certain cabin, can be granted (if applicable).
