DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
IMPORTANT!
Please note that itinerary is subject to variation and/or changes of visits without prior notice mainly due to weather conditions, sea currents, and/or Galapagos National Park Regulations.
DAY 1: TUESDAY
Morning – Noon: ARRIVAL – BALTRA ISLAND
Arrival at Baltra Airport. If you booked your flights with us, your guide will be waiting at the airport to take you to Yacht Letty (passengers with own flights or already in Galapagos will be properly informed of meeting point and time to join the cruise from the dock).
Baltra Airport started redevelopment in 2007 to offer more eateries, stores, and comfortable visitor areas. Due to its dry climate, Palo Santo trees, prickly pear cactus, and salt bushes make up Baltra’s vegetation; Baltra has no visitor sites.
After settling into your cabin, enjoy a welcome lunch on board before sailing to your next visitor site.
Afternoon: DRAGON HILL
Dry landing at Cerro Dragon for a fantastic hike observing a variety of flora and fauna: land iguanas, reptiles, Darwin finches, mockingbirds, endemic doves, yellow warblers, and more along extensive vegetation, especially “holy trees.” The trail leads to a high point with amazing views of the bay.
Return to the yacht. Guide’s group briefing, dinner, and overnight on board.
DAY 2: WEDNESDAY
Morning: SANTIAGO ISLAND
After breakfast, visit the picturesque site of Caleta Bucanero at Santiago Island. The bay was the first port in the archipelago where buccaneers, pirates, and whalers disembarked. The bay is known for crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life including sea turtles, rays, and colorful tropical fish. After the hike, enjoy snorkeling to observe marine life.
Lunch on board the yacht.
Afternoon: SANTIAGO ISLAND
Visit Egas Port (wet landing), named after Jorge Egas, who explored the island in the 1930s and opened the first salt mine at Sugarloaf Volcano. Charles Darwin visited this site in 1835. The trail begins on volcanic ash (a tuff cone) and continues on volcanic basaltic rock along the shoreline.
Bird species along the trail include lava herons, night herons, pelicans, American oystercatchers, blue-footed boobies, yellow-crowned finches, willets, and yellow warblers. Colonies of marine iguanas and Sally light-foot crabs are commonly seen on the volcanic rocks.
Then visit Espumilla Beach with turquoise waters, home to Darwin’s finches and Galapagos mockingbirds. You may snorkel and swim in its clear waters to explore marine wildlife.
Return to the boat for rest, briefing by your guide, dinner, and overnight on board.
DAY 3: THURSDAY
Morning: FERNANDINA ISLAND
Board the Zodiac-panga toward Espinoza Point (dry landing), a pristine site at Fernandina Island filled with endemic wildlife and breathtaking petrified lava-rock formations. Observe the largest marine iguana colony, Galapagos hawks, sea turtles, mangrove forests, and the endemic flightless cormorant.
Return to the yacht for lunch.
Afternoon: ISABELA ISLAND
Arrive at the west side of Isabela Island at Urbina Bay (wet landing). This area features a coral reef exposed above sea level. On clear days, enjoy panoramic views of Alcedo Volcano. With luck, spot giant Galapagos tortoises along the trail, yellow-colored land iguanas, hawks, flycatchers, mockingbirds, and various finches.
Snorkel from the beach surrounded by marine iguanas, sea lions, flightless cormorants, sea turtles, and more.
Return to the yacht. Evening briefing, dinner, and overnight on board.
DAY 4: FRIDAY
Morning: ISABELA ISLAND
Visit Elisabeth Bay, composed of several small islets with mangrove vegetation home to sea lions, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, brown pelicans, a small penguin colony, white-tipped sharks, eagle rays, and golden rays.
Return to the yacht for lunch.
Afternoon: ISABELA ISLAND
After a short sail, arrive at Moreno Point. Board the Zodiac for a ride along the rocky shoreline to the dock (dry landing). Hike through tidal lagoons and mangrove forests rich in wildlife. Look for green turtles, white-tipped sharks, colorful fish, Galapagos flamingos, herons, and more in the clear waters.
Return to Letty. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 5: SATURDAY
Morning: ISABELA ISLAND
Visit Las Tintoreras, a group of small islets filled with marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, sea lions, marine turtles, and sharks. Calm and clear waters make it ideal for spotting marine life. Continue to Puerto Villamil and take transportation to Volcán Chico (about 860 m.a.s.l.) to enjoy panoramic views of Volcán Sierra Negra and surrounding vegetation and birdlife. Short hike before returning for lunch.
Afternoon: ISABELA ISLAND
Visit a special location in the Isabela Highlands to explore the Tortoise Farm & Research Center. Walk among giant tortoises in semi-wild conditions and learn about National Park conservation efforts.
Note: Land visits may vary due to weather and road conditions. Your guide will brief you the night before in case of modifications.
DAY 6: SUNDAY

Final visit to Lobos Islands near Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Named for the large sea lion colonies, enjoy walking around the beach observing these playful creatures. Transfer to the boat and then to San Cristóbal Airport for your flight back to the mainland or to the main pier if you plan to stay longer in the Galapagos.
