Payment & Cancellation Policy

Cruise In Galapagos S.A.S. is a Galapagos-based operating agency that helps travelers find the best cruise options according to their preferred travel dates, budget, and availability.

We work with a portfolio of more than 60 yachts in the Galapagos Islands. Because of this, payment and cancellation policies may vary depending on the selected vessel. In some cases, we must follow the specific policies established by each yacht or cruise operator. Any applicable conditions will be clearly communicated to the client by WhatsApp or email before or after each payment, depending on the stage of the booking process.

Once the cruise option, price, inclusions, and payment terms have been agreed upon, Cruise In Galapagos S.A.S. will proceed to send the booking information by email or WhatsApp so the client can complete the purchase and confirm the reservation.

Standard Payment Policy

To confirm a cruise reservation, the client must make a 20% deposit of the total agreed amount.

The remaining balance must be paid in full 2 months before the cruise departure date.

For Christmas and New Year departures, the payment policy may be different. In general, a 30% deposit is required to confirm the reservation, and the remaining 70% must be paid 3 months before the cruise departure date.

Last-Minute Bookings

Last-minute availability may appear on some yachts approximately 2 months before departure, depending on the vessel and operator.

For last-minute bookings, full payment of 100% of the total reservation amount is usually required at the time of booking in order to confirm the space.

Payment Methods & Additional Costs

Cruise In Galapagos S.A.S. may accept payments through different platforms or methods, including bank transfers, PayPal, WeTravel, or other payment systems used by the company.

All additional costs related to the payment method are the responsibility of the client. This includes, but is not limited to, PayPal fees, WeTravel fees, international bank transfer fees, intermediary bank fees, or any other platform or banking charges.

The full agreed amount must be received in the account or payment platform provided by Cruise In Galapagos S.A.S. Any missing amount caused by transfer fees, bank deductions, or platform commissions must be covered by the client.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies vary depending on the yacht, cruise operator, travel dates, and type of booking selected.

Before completing the transaction, the sales agent will clearly inform the client of the cancellation conditions that apply to the selected cruise.

Cabin Changes

In the event that the yacht or cruise operator changes the assigned cabin without prior notice, no refund will apply if the new cabin has a similar value to the original cabin, even if the cabin number, deck, or location is different.

Vessel Changes

In case of technical issues, vessel damage, emergency situations, Galapagos National Park regulations, safety protocols, or any other operational reason beyond the control of Cruise In Galapagos S.A.S., the yacht operator may relocate passengers to another vessel.

No refund will apply if the alternative vessel offers a similar service level and value to the original booking.

Any vessel change will only be made by Cruise In Galapagos S.A.S. or by the yacht operator in cases of emergency, vessel damage, Galapagos National Park requirements, safety matters, or operational necessity.

Itinerary Changes

All Galapagos cruise itineraries are subject to change without prior notice due to regulations or decisions made by the Galapagos National Park, weather conditions, civil disturbances, natural disasters, safety protocols, or operational reasons.

The captain, guide, crew, or cruise operator may also modify the itinerary when necessary for passenger safety, navigation conditions, or operational requirements.

Travel Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend that all passengers purchase travel insurance that covers flight cancellations, flight delays, missed connections, missed flights, lost luggage, medical emergencies, and any other travel-related issues.

The passenger is responsible for any additional costs or consequences caused by delayed flights, cancelled flights, missed flights, lost luggage, or personal travel disruptions.
