It's important to note that diving in the Galapagos is advanced due to strong currents, varying visibility, and cold water. Temperatures range between the low 60s and upper 70s in different areas of the itinerary and seasons. Depths can reach 20-30 meters or 65-100 feet. It's crucial to feel comfortable in these conditions, have excellent buoyancy, and be able to perform rapid entries/descents from small boats. Recommended prerequisites include 50-100 open water dives, experience in currents, ability to remove gear in water, and capability to board small boats in choppy seas. Nitrox certification before the cruise is highly recommended. Recent dive experience is required. Both PADI and DAN recommend a refresher course for divers who have been out of the water for 6 months or longer.

It's important to highlight that all diving with Galapagos Sky is NON-DECOMPRESSION diving, no exceptions.

All meals and snacks during your Galápagos Sky cruise are inclusive of your rate. Our gourmet-style menus, crafted by our culinary school-trained chefs, feature locally sourced ingredients from sustainable providers, ensuring creativity and freshness. Depending on the dive schedule, you'll either enjoy a full breakfast first thing in the morning or a light continental breakfast followed by a dive and then a full breakfast. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while dinner is elegantly plated. Dinner orders are taken in the morning. Throughout the day, snacks are provided, and you can find chips, crackers, and cookies available at the bar. Our cuisine includes both Ecuadorian specialties and international dishes.

We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, no seafood, kosher, dairy-free, etc. Please make sure to indicate your preferences when filling out your application form.

Please be aware that requests for kosher meals must be submitted at least 60 days before the departure date.

-Sustainable Foods

25 percent of our food comes from the Galapagos and almost 52 percent is organic. We mainly source fruits and vegetables from San Cristobal and meats and dairy from Santa Cruz Island.

-Dress/ Attire

Attire for all meals is casual and comfortable. You may wear shoes while on board. Kindly be aware that the dining room and main salon are maintained at a cool temperature.
